Freshers arriving at Glamorgan University this week are being helped to settle in with a "student experience simulation". "GlamStart" is a web- based game available to all new students, which requires them to get through ten simulated days in the life of a new student. Martin Lynch, team leader of the Multimedia Development Team that developed and designed GlamStart, said: "This project is evidence of the significance of computer games maturing as a phenomenon and shows that the power of gaming can be harnessed for learning purposes."
