(Photograph) - Glasgow Caledonian University has signed a Pounds 500,000 contract with Italian motorcycle manufacturers Bimota to produce a world first in the internal combustion engine market, a commercially viable, environmentally "clean" two-stroke engine. Walter Martini, managing director of Bimota, seen here with university principal Stan Mason, said: "We have been greatly impressed by the facilities and expertise available at Glasgow Caledonian University. Bimota sees the new two-stroke engine as its way into a large new market, closely linked to its existing business."
