INTO, the private provider of English-language and pre-university courses, is in "early discussions" over a deal with Goldsmiths, University of London. In a statement on its website, Goldsmiths says it is "exploring the possibility of a partnership with INTO which, if successful, may be critical to the institution's long-term financial sustainability. Neither Goldsmiths nor INTO are yet committed." Should any agreement result in staff transferring from Goldsmiths to an INTO joint venture, the statement says, "we would, of course, consult on the matter in the normal way".
