Good advice probe

scientific advice to the government is under the spotlight of the House of Commons' Science and Technology Committee. An inquiry announced this week will look at the uses and quality of advice from Council for Science and Technology and other bodies including universities, institutes, the chief scientific adviser and the Office of Science and Technology.
