Students at Gray's School of Art in Aberdeen have been working with Edinburgh-based social enterprise Sakura Scotland to design a collection of Japanese tartans. Daniel Crozier, a student and budding fashion designer, used Sakura fabric to create a long pink and green tartan coat. "It has been really exciting to work with such colourful tartan that also has international significance," he said. The project is designed to teach students about professional design while also stimulating the Scottish textiles industry.
