Monitoring and recording of work to improve environmental sustainability should become a condition of grant for Scottish universities, according to a motion to be put to the Scottish Parliament by Green Party MSP Robin Harper. Mr Harper, a former rector of Edinburgh University, put forward the motion after the charity Forum for the Future, which promotes sustainable higher education, praised the work being done by Scottish institutions in greening their activities.
