(Photograph) - Testing times: this picture by Pauline Neild won the black-and-white regional prize in the recent Guild of Picture Editors Awards. It shows artist Martell Lindsell holding works she made for an exhibition called 'Panoptic Pindown' at Salford University's Glass Box gallery. Ms Lindsell says her former work as a radiographer informs her work. 'In much of medicine and science people lose their identity, these figures in test tubes represent that sense of alienation.' Ms Lindsell lectures at Salford University.
