Things are almost as much fun at the University of Armageddon (The THES October 10), the imaginary university where managers can let their hair down confidentially. Which institution can possibly have had trouble with the offspring of a government minister and issued instructions that any problems the student in question might have should be dealt with promptly? Sad to relate, the same university's computerised student record system has failed to work, so that the search for likely ministerial heirs is proving slow.
