The next vice-chancellor and principal of Heriot-Watt University has been named. Steve Chapman, vice-principal for planning, resources and research policy at the University of Edinburgh, will succeed Anton Muscatelli in September. Lord Penrose, head of the selection committee, said Professor Chapman would bring "great experience" and "strengths of leadership" to the role. "With this appointment, Heriot-Watt will become an even more successful institution," Lord Penrose added.
