Possibly the most distressing Comic Relief fundraising event last week was that organised by the University of Wolverhampton.
It took pairs of pants from local people and hoisted them from the crane that is being used to build its new millennium building. Each person who donated a pair of pants paid a pound to charity for the privilege.
