The University of the Highlands and Islands project has cleared another hurdle in its bid for Millennium Commission funding, with an external consultant this week embarking on a detailed appraisal of the scheme's feasibility.
The project group expects to hear by the autumn whether it has been successful, although its bid for Pounds 38 million, half its estimated core costs, is likely to be cut to Pounds 25 million.
