British institutions must be dynamic and responsive to the global market, higher education minister Margaret Hodge will tell a conference on the future of higher education today.
Ms Hodge will say: "The global market is a reality for universities. For us to survive, we must sharpen the links between education and training and business exports." The conference in London is being organised by Universities UK.
