With more than 100 redundancies in the last academic year, a vote of no confidence in the vice chancellor and a deficit of nearly Pounds 1.5 million, staff at Luton University need cheering up. And what better way than to go for renewal of its Investors in People status? There may be fewer left to invest in, but those who remain are expecting assessors in the next few weeks. Presumably they will start in the accounts department.
