Trisha Greenhalgh, a senior lecturer in primary healthcare at the Royal Free and University College medical school and a part-time GP, has become the 2,000th member of the Institute of Teaching and Learning.
This week's annual meeting was told that 41 per cent of members come from old universities, 43 per cent from new universities and 16 per cent from colleges of higher education. In its first year, the institute has accredited 58 institutional staff development programmes.
