An Aberdeen University researcher is challenging the claim that Muslims are radicalised by imams while in prison. Gabriele Marranci, a lecturer in the anthropology of religion, interviewed more than 170 current and former Muslim prisoners in Scotland, Wales and England. His findings debunk media representations of Muslim chaplains as "radicalisers".
