Imperial College London has completed the £28 million purchase of a plot of land previously owned by the BBC in Shepherd's Bush. Imperial said: "Our activities have expanded, and our West London campuses as a result have become increasingly congested. Further development of our academic activities means we require room to expand, and the chance to acquire more than seven acres of freehold land and 25,000 sq m of buildings in such a location in West London ... was a rare opportunity that was too promising to miss."
