Brussels, 22 March 2002
Enterprise and research institutes will meet at the forthcoming Hanover international technology cooperation event, taking place on 18 and 19 April.
Organised by the IRC (Innovation relay centre) network, the event is expected to attract representatives from the IRC network, which covers 15 major industrial sectors and 30 countries - the world's biggest technology transfer area in geographical terms. Some of the main themes at the event will be micro- and nanotechnologies, measurement technologies, new and intelligent materials and automation technologies.
The event is designed to help stimulate important contacts between the enterprise and research communities, as well as present technology transfer case studies. The IRC network has overseen more than 1,000 licensing, distribution or co-development deals between partners in different European countries.
The IRC network will also be taking a stand at the Tech Transfer forum, taking place in the same location on 15 to 20 April. It will be highlighting the network's contribution to the implementation of national and European innovation policies.
