The German institute for ecological economy research (IOEW) and the Akademie Frankenwarte are organising a summer academy entitled 'From government to governance: the case of integrated product policy (IPP)' from 7 to 11 November in Würzburg, Germany.
IPP aims to improve the environmental performance of products and services, combining integration, communication and cooperation as its defining principals. The summer academy will act as a forum for an exchange of experiences related to IPP.
Topics for discussion will include:
- Transformation of European governance: where to place IPP?
- IPP governance models in Europe;
- IPP: good governance towards sustainability?
The event is aimed at decision makers, practitioners and experts from authorities, administrations, consultancies and applied research centres across Europe.
The academy is part of the governance and sustainability project, which forms part of the wider social-ecological research programme of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
