A University of Wales Newport lecturer is going to meet the Queen in recognition of the academic's award-winning documentaries about women in Africa. Florence Ayisi, senior lecturer at the International Film School Wales, won a prize at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival for her documentary about a female judge and prosecutor in Cameroon. She has been invited to a reception for people whose work is associated with Commonwealth African countries.
