Education minister Margaret Hodge has been clarifying her title. At this week's launch of the learning and skills research centre, a government-funded body looking at post-16 education, she said: "I am not the minister for higher education and lifelong learning because that is the minister from Hell. I am the minister for lifelong learning and higher education."
