Employment insecurity in Britain is rife despite evidence that job tenure has changed little in the past 20 years, according to research from Cardiff Business School. "Feelings of insecurity do not hinge simply on tenure," said Peter Turnbull from the University of Wales, Cardiff, business school. "There are a number of different manifestations of insecurity. One reason is that statutory redundancy arrangements fail to provide any reasonable measure of security for workers."
