JRC gives prior information of calls for tenders for various studies

The European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) has issued prior information on a call for tenders for various studies and services.

Study areas listed in the information notice include:

- projects to be developed by the technologies for sustainable development unit;
- information and communication technologies (ICT) and sustainability;
- the potential of hydrogen as a fuel for road transport by 2020
- quantification of technological scenarios for long term trends in transport;
- mapping energy technology progress, environmental regulation and industrial sectors' performance;
- life sciences;
- electronic business - cybersecurity initiative;
- factors and impacts of information societies: analysis of national and regional statistical indicators series in the candidate countries.

Remarks: The estimated dates for initiating the award procedures are the second and third quarters of 2002.
