A university has opened its own pharmacy to train students. Kingston University's £420,000 Pharmacy Practice Laboratory is a purpose-built facility where students can practise their skills. Based at the university's Penrhyn Road campus in southwest London, the centre has 40 drug-dispensing stations, a pharmacy counter and a consulting area. Chris Cairns, professor of pharmacy practice at Kingston, said: "We use role play so (students) can practise scenarios they will face in the workplace."
