There's less lean in Pisa's tower
Pisa's leaning tower now has the same angle of tilt it had in 1810, experts announced yesterday in Italy. Michele Jamiolkowski, professor of geodetics at Turin Polytechnic, said scientists are just 5cm from their goal of bringing the top of the tower back by 38cm by February. Restoration costs total £18 million.
Professor files online libel suit
A US professor has launched a libel suit against the webmaster and editors of a site that linked to an article accusing him of paedophilia. The article was written by a former student of the physics professor at the University of North Dakota. The professor is seeking $50,000 plus damages and legal costs.
