Melbourne stakes A$10m claim in e-university
The University of Melbourne is to allocate almost A$10 million (£3.5 million) towards a A$50 million global online university supported by the Universitas 21 network. Australian university students have protested against decisions by Melbourne and two other universities to endorse the plans. At least 12 of the 18 Universitas 21 members must endorse the project before it can go ahead.
