Indian business school opens
The first batch of 130 students started MBA courses at the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad in southern India yesterday. It is a joint veture between 13 of India’s top companies and three international business schools - Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania and London Business School.
University hospitals face 112 malpractice suits
Forty of Japan’s 42 national universities that have affiliated hospitals face a total of 112 malpractice lawsuits, according to the education ministry. University hospitals account for only 2 per cent of the 1.64 million beds nationwide, but their rate of malpractice suits is three times the national average.
