The new year at Sunderland University will kick off with phase 2 construction of the institution's St Peter Campus. The project will result in a school of computing and information systems, an extension to the learning resources centre and an area for university and public events. When all four phases have been completed early next century, the campus will provide teaching accommodation for 8,000 students.
