Lean machine

Lean production is obviously being followed by lean living for Heather Stewart of the Southampton Institute.

On page three of the institute's newsletter Sinews, she is seen pocketing Pounds 120 (and an engraved fountain pen) from IBM for the best paper in the institute's in-house accountancy magazine, on lean production and world-class manufacturing.

On the back page, one Heather Stewart is flogging an X-reg Vauxhall Cavalier for Pounds 450, and something called a Graduate dinghy, with trolley but no trailer, for the same sum.
