More adults want to learn, but major barriers to education are still posed by unemployment, low socio-economic status and poor previous experience of learning, a survey says.
In a Mori poll of more than 1,000 adults for the government-backed Campaign for Learning, 60 per cent said they would like to take part in some form of taught learning in the next year and more than half believe they will actually do so.
