London appoints Smith

Adrian Smith, principal of Queen Mary, University of London, has been appointed deputy vice-chancellor of the University of London. He will take up the part-time post in July for three years. He will continue as principal of Queen Mary. Colin Bundy, the present deputy vice-chancellor of the University of London, will retire from the post and as principal of the School of Oriental and African Studies in July.
