A university in central London has won planning permission for a students' centre. The building at the London School of Economics will house the students' union, an interfaith prayer centre, accommodation, sales and marketing teams and the LSE's careers service. It will be the first new-build structure at the institution for more than 40 years, and will be based at the St Philips site on LSE's campus, just off Lincoln's Inn Fields in Holborn. The project is due to be completed by Easter 2013.
