More than 150 senior managers in higher education from across Europe will meet in Norway next week to discuss universities' role in the future of European research.
Issues being discussed at the 53rd bi-annual conference of the Association of European Universities include the need for high bandwidth computer-based networking and the idea of a European Research Area, proposed by European Commissioner for research, Philippe Busquin.
