Mayor throws weight behind forum idea

Plans are afoot to set up a forum for further and higher education in London after Ken Livingstone said he would support the venture.

Speaking at a conference on further and higher education in the capital, Mr Livingstone said he would help establish the forum.

He added: "We need to work towards agreeing a strategy. I am prepared to throw my weight behind making sure we get a properly funded FE and HE system."
