The amount of money graduates owe has grown by 103 per cent over the past five years, a national survey has found. Barclays' fifth annual survey reveals that today's average graduate owes Pounds 4,497, compared with Pounds 2,212 in 1994. Male graduates borrow Pounds 4,867 on average. The average female graduate owes Pounds 4,161.
