Medical students may switch to journalism

A novel course in medical journalism has been validated by the University of Westminster and will start next October. The one-year BA is open to the UK's 20,000 medical students after two years preclinical work in basic medical sciences. At the end of the course, students can either return to their medical schools to complete their degree in medicine or leave to become journalists.
