Nanotechnology is destined to become a multibillion-euro market - if the research can be moved successfully from the laboratory to the marketplace.

The European Union has teamed with the National Science Foundation to organise a workshop on nanotechnology in Toulouse, France, on Thursday (October 19). The workshop will cover four major fields: nanoelectronics, nanomaterials and nanobiotechnology, and the challenges of manufacturing on nanoscale.
