Natfhe strike collapses after sacking threat

Lecturers at Southwark College, London, have returned to work after a 13-week strike. Lecturers' union Natfhe called off further education's longest dispute after members were threatened with dismissal by the college principal Dorothy Jones. The union has failed to persuade the college to reinstate sacked union member Chris Ryan and the college is going ahead with plans to use an agency to provide part-time staff, despite the protests.
