An information day on the new and emerging science and technology (NEST) programme will take place on 10 April in Paris.
Introduced under the Sixth Framework Programme's 'anticipating scientific and technological needs activity', NEST aims at exploring new avenues of science and technology as well as consolidating and accelerating the development of European capabilities in emerging research fields.
The main focus of the event is to inform potential participants in the NEST programme of its rationale, objectives and implementation.
Participants will also be presented with an overview of the recently launched first call for proposals as well as the submission and evaluation procedure.
The event is being organised by the NEST national contact point (NCP) in France.
