New showcase on environment projects on CORDIS

April 29, 2002

Brussels, 26 April 2002

CORDIS, the European Commission's Research and Development Information Service, has introduced information on key EU-funded research projects in the field of the environment to its 'Energy, environment and sustainable development' (EESD) service.

The showcase illustrates the contribution the projects have made to understanding of key environmental issues.

Projects on a wide range of initiatives, including Europe's coastal environment and biodiversity, climate models, urban pollution and ozone depletion, are included. Each case is illustrated with key historical references, policy relevance and links to the European research area (ERA). The cases include integrated projects and some of the largest coordinated research projects in the field of the environment.

The showcase is hosted under the 'funded projects' section of the EESD service. This service offers a searchable list of projects sorted according to programme key actions.
