The proposed University Mara (Unimara) in Malaysia is to take its first batch of 40 students in January 2000. Ruhanie Ahmad, Mara's chairman, said the main campus will be in Kuala Lumpur, while existing Mara higher learning centres would serve as satellite campuses based on their specialisations.
