The GI-GIS project of the Joint Research Centre's institute for environment and sustainability is organising its ninth workshop on the theme of 'European spatial data infrastructure: serving the user' in A Coruña, Spain, from 25 to June.
The event will investigate how interoperable data and services can be delivered to the European citizen, and follows on from the discussion begun at the previous workshop in Dublin.
The topics for discussion will address all aspects of services for and to the user. These include:
- Organisation;
- INSPIRE development;
- Pilots and demonstrators;
- Content;
- Services and business models;
- User needs assessment.
A call for papers for the event is now open and will close on 31 March. Abstracts should be written in English, limited to one page, and should clearly state the workshop topic that they address. Those whose abstracts are approved will receive notification of acceptance and detailed instructions on manuscript preparation.
