Vice chancellors not amused at earning less than professors in their medical schools can reflect that it could be worse. Sports Illustrated reports that one Mark Yudof was appointed as president of the University of Minnesota on a salary of $225,000 per year - equivalent to the highest paid British head of institution. On the same day Minnesota also hired a new football coach, Glenn Mason, on $500,000 a year.
