Edinburgh University has devised a cunning plan to ensure record attendance at its general council meeting - relocate to Paris. Staff and students will mull over the last meeting's minutes at the Salon Pourpre and Salon Napoleon of the Luxembourg Palace.
It will be the first time that a meeting has been held outside the UK since 1858 when such meetings were established in Scotland. Peep's is confident it will not be the last.
