Paris to host European e-work assembly

The 2002 annual European e-work assembly will take place in Paris, France, from 25 to September.

The event provides an opportunity for researchers, politicians, industrialists, trade unions, ICT (information and communication technologies) representatives and e-work pioneers from over 30 countries to meet and exchange best practices in the area of e-work and new methods of work in Europe.

The event will focus on practical cases, successful business models and new findings. It will provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of innovative ways of organising work from a technical, economic, legal and social point of view.

Parallel sessions will concentrate on four key themes: e-work and competitiveness, e-work and corporate social responsibility, e-work, law and industrial relations and technology for e-work. These are all themes are linked with the major topics of the eEurope action plan.

A showroom will be held at the venue with European industrial sponsors and the participation of IST (information society technologies) project consortia. This year the assembly will incorporate the eWork European awards ceremony for the first time
