Growing student protests have forced Edinburgh University to rethink plans to save money by cutting library hours.
Edinburgh has almost 20 libraries scattered across the city. It wanted to save £25,000 through measures that include closing all but the main library two hours earlier and reducing lending services.
But a university spokesperson said this week: "In the light of strong student concerns, the proposal to cut library opening hours is being reviewed."
