Spin doctor Alastair Campbell and former Downing Street chief of staff Jonathan Powell are among those contributing to a course on the Blair Government. The undergraduate course at Queen Mary, University of London, is led by John Rentoul, Tony Blair's biographer, and Jon Davis, executive director of the Mile End Group, a research group at the university. On 9 February, students heard from Mr Campbell, who became Mr Blair's chief press secretary and official spokesman in 1994. Other lecturers include Sir Kevin Tebbit, former Permanent Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Defence, and Sir David Omand, former director of the Government Communications Headquarters and Permanent Secretary at the Home Office.
