A one-day symposium has celebrated the opening of Van Dyck and Britain, Tate Britain's blockbuster exhibition of the Flemish master's works. The event was hosted by Queen Mary, University of London, in conjunction with the London art gallery. Kevin Sharpe, professor of Renaissance studies at Queen Mary, is acting as historical adviser on the Van Dyck retrospective.
