The efforts of John Randall, chief executive of the Quality Assurance Agency, have finally won recognition in the sector - but not in the field of quality assurance. He is to receive an honorary degree from Nottingham Trent University for his contribution to the advancement of legal education in his previous position as professional standards director at the Law Society.
