University of Oxford leads education subject table based on GPA

The education unit of assessment table was led by the University of Oxford with a GPA of 3.6.

In second was Durham University (3.57), followed in joint third by the University of Birmingham and Cardiff University (3.55).

However, by far the highest research power and market share are recorded by UCL, which now includes the formerly separate Institute of Education, which submitted 317 staff.

At a national level the Education UoA has a GPA of 3.00, with 37 per cent of its submission rated 4*. 2168.38 FTE staff were submitted to this UoA.
