Students are being offered the chance to win a term's rent by a London bookshop. Foyles, which has a shop in Charing Cross Road, will pay £1,500 to the student who has answered three questions about the bookshop correctly and whose name is pulled from a prize draw.
The bookshop said that when it was founded 100 years ago, London rents were running at less than £2 a week, while students today could expect to pay more than £400 a month.
